First Wednesday Worship

For our November 'First Wednesday Worship' the children have helped Rev. Chloe re-design the order of service. Children led the worship through giving readings and prayers to the congregation. Rev. Chloe spoke about  Remembrance Sunday and we focused our thoughts on peace.

Music Workshop

Musician Matt Douglas joined Class 2 today to carry our a music workshop. The children enjoyed creating their own lyrics and then composing music to go alongside. The children demonstrated what fabulous singers they were and we look forward to welcoming Matt back soon, to finish off the children's masterpiece!

A huge congratulations to Lilia in Class 3 who has won the 'Artist's Commendation Award' in the Christmas card competition organised by the Truro Diocese. All the children within the school entered the competition and the judges were very impressed by their creativity.

PE Event

Harvest Service

We finished off the first half-term of the year with a wonderful Harvest Service at St Cuby's. Classes 1, 2 and 3 all performed as well as music from our flute and saxophone players.

There was standing room only in the church and a considerable donation to the Liskeard and Looe food-bank was given. Thank you for your kind generosity.

New Library Books

As part of our Gold Membership with the Cornwall Library Service, the library van arrived at school today and we were able to exchange 60 old books for 60 brand new books.

As part of the service, the team from the Cornwall Library Service will also be helping us to redesign our current library. Watch this space...

Reading Karate

Huge congratulations to all those children who received their White Band today for reading 15 times at home. It has been fantastic to hear the children talk in such an excited manner about reading at home. Hopefully those who are not quite there will receive their bands next week and we look forward to handing out Yellow Bands for 30 reads soon

Books, Books, Books

We were  very excited this week to receive over £5,000 of new books and resources to help your children read at school. We would like to say a huge thank you to the Kernow English Hub for their financial support and the training they are providing at Duloe
