The idea behind the focus for this year is to look at why inaccurate content exists, where it comes from, and what young people can do in response.
We know that the issues of misinformation and ‘fake news’ do not solely affect young people, but that these issues do have a great impact on how young people feel about their time online.
We want to help equip young people with the skills they need to spot inaccurate content, which can sometimes be a complex task. Once young people feel more comfortable separating fact from fiction it is important that we then help them to take the next steps in helping to create an internet full of trustworthy and reliable information.
The link below provides information for children which is age-related, as well as information for carers and parents about how they can keep their children safe online:

For anybody who missed yesterday's virtual Children's Mental Health Week assembly, you can watch it on the schools main blog page.
The theme for this year is creativity and one of the suggestions the Duchess of Cambridge made was to express your creativity through photography. Therefore, I would like you all to grab your cameras and phones at home and send in your favourite snap. It could be a landscape from a walk, a selfie or even something you have digitally edited. Send them in and I will create a virtual gallery to show off your creativity.
