Visible LearningPlus

Visible LearningPlus is a professional development program for teachers that explores how evidence can be used to create innovation in the learning environment. The program, which involves working with schools for at least two years, is focused on Professor John Hattie’s research and the principles of visible learning and visible teaching.

This outstanding research involved millions of students world wide and represents the largest ever evidence-based research into what actually works best in schools to improve learning.

Bridge Schools Trust began their Visible Learning journey in 2017 focusing first on the leaders of the schools spending half a day with Wendy Delf, Visible Learning consultant, to agree a starting point for their school. Leaders have also had the opportunity to undertake their first day of self evaluation (Evidence into Action) as well as Impact Coaches being trained in the summer term and all staff experiencing the very full Foundation Day in June.

Feedback from teachers and leaders has been extremely positive with many teachers returning to their schools and evaluating what really is working in their classrooms and how they can improve outcomes for all their learners. Teachers and leaders will be working with Wendy on further training days in 2018.
