This Collective Worship, brought to us by the Church of England, explores Lent, the period of reflection in the run up to the Christian festival of Easter.

The idea behind the focus for this year is to look at why inaccurate content exists, where it comes from, and what young people can do in response.
We know that the issues of misinformation and ‘fake news’ do not solely affect young people, but that these issues do have a great impact on how young people feel about their time online.
We want to help equip young people with the skills they need to spot inaccurate content, which can sometimes be a complex task. Once young people feel more comfortable separating fact from fiction it is important that we then help them to take the next steps in helping to create an internet full of trustworthy and reliable information.
The link below provides information for children which is age-related, as well as information for carers and parents about how they can keep their children safe online:

A huge well done to Indiee for making it into an issue of Country Walking magazine. Indiee and all the family are big fans of walking and this picture shows them out and about in the recent snow. I will have to get Indiee to give me a signed copy!
Here is another quick snapshot of some of the amazing home learning photos that have been sent into school. You really are such a talented bunch. We are missing you all so much in school and we hope to see you all soon in person, rather than just on TEAMs.
Here are a few more of the wonderful photos we have been sent from you by email engaging with your home learning. Mummies seem to be roaming the Duloe area at the moment and there are some fantastic examples from Mrs Wright's RE lessons that have come in as well.

Children’s Mental
Health Week
Next week is Children’s Mental Health Week and each day one
of the remote learning lessons will be related to this. We are also hoping to get the
whole school together for a virtual assembly on the subject hosted by Blue Peter’s Lindsey Russell and CBBC
Presenter and Place2Be Champion Rhys Stephenson. More to follow…
Lateral Flow Testing
This week, staff at Duloe have started taking twice-weekly
Covid tests as part of the government initiative. These tests are designed to
identify anybody who is asymptomatic and therefore would need to self-isolate.
It has been very positive that we have all been negative so far!
Remote Learning
Thank you again for your continued engagement with home
learning. The participation of your children with the daily quiz, joining TEAMs,
emailing teachers and submitting work on Mathletics is fantastic.
St Keyne Parish
Council
We would like to say a huge thank you to St Keyne Parish
Council who have donated a considerable amount of money to the school to
support with remote learning. If any families are struggling with access to electronic
devices, please contact the school.
Best wishes,
Mr Hannah
