Peripatetic Site Manager - South East Cornwall

Location: Bridge MAT Main Office

Closing Date: 10/01/2022

Bridge Schools require a proactive member to join their premises team.

You will cover site management duties across our schools within the South East Cornwall locality and provide cover to other Trust schools as required.

Principle responsibilities will be to maintain the security, safety, compliance, cleanliness and upkeep of the buildings, playgrounds and facilities working under the direction of the Bridge Schools Premises Managers.

If you have the ability to work on your own initiative, but also work as part of a wider team and are an all-rounder with a range of skills with proven experience:
• Basic understanding of electrical/plumbing
• General labouring/moving of furniture/equipment
• Basic understanding/experience with all basic hand and power tools
• General DIY skills and a good level of common sense
• Have a practical approach to problem solving
• Good communicator
• Well organised
• Reliable and trustworthy

The successful candidate must have their own vehicle and tools.
Must have clean driving licence (travel expenses paid).


Salary: £18,674 pro rata
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Finance and HR Administrator

Location: Bridge MAT Main Office

Closing Date: 08/12/2021

Working in our Central Office at Callywith Gate in Bodmin we are looking for a friendly Finance and HR Administrator who is comfortable working with other members of their team, as well as with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

We envisage the role will be approximately 3 days Finance / 2 days HR. Key responsibilities to include:
- Invoice batching, matching and coding
- Supplying and checking purchase order references
- Inputting of supplier invoices and other data entry
- Input of data into the HR system (e.g. payroll claims, contracts, annual leave, sickness, training)
- Processing and monitoring DBS applications
- Issuing recruitment packs to schools as requested
- Issuing offer letters to new starters and contract change letters to existing employees.
- Other ad hoc finance and human resources tasks

Aptitude, accuracy and attention to detail are more important than qualifications, though good IT skills are a ‘must’.

This role is for 35 hours a week (9am – 4.30pm) during the school term time (38 weeks), plus one week of INSET days and 7 days a year during school holiday. A total of 40.4 working weeks and 45.852 paid weeks a year on a permanent variable contract.

Hourly Rate: £9.23

Closing Date: Midnight on Wednesday 8th December
Proposed Interview Date: Tuesday 14th December
Anticipated Start Date: January 2022
